JCEUS

Jankshatriya Community of Eastern United States.

The Jankshatriya Community of Eastern United States (JCEUS) is a non-profit organization formed in 1994 by a diverse group of immigrants from the state of Gujarat in Western India. Though the members comprise of second, third and even fourth generation Gujaratis from India, Africa and United Kingdom, they share a common cultural heritage and background. The primary objective of JCEUS is to preserve valuable aspects of our heritage, culture and identity while we assimilate into the American society. The goal is to keep our traditions alive especially those pertaining to religious activities, cultural dances, rituals and traditional events such as Diwali, a festival of lights.

The JCEUS is a registered non-profit organization which is run by elected officers including the President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and an Executive Committee. The officials serve a one year term with elections being held annually. This JCEUS is the Jersey chapter of a larger loosely affiliated organization with chapters nationally in the United States and numerous international chapters. We are in the process of trying to consolidate and amalgamate into a cohesive national organization with strong ties to our international affiliates.
